The heavy construction for the second floor support is complete! As I write, Yefet, our contractor, is putting his finishing touches on the structure while we (staff and volunteers) observe with anticipation, eager to conclude this six days of intensive labor, to restore order, redecorate and prepare for Shabbat.
If you have the time, join our team tomorrow, roll up your sleeves and make a difference. We haven’t been able to find members who could spare some time, just one of these things where everyone was simply too busy. Tomorrow it will be especially challenging to get the space cleaned up, organized and as every week, prepared for Shabbat services.
So, take a break from sitting in front of your computer and find that dusting, vacuuming, hanging curtains and banners, painting, moving furniture, organizing Shabbat set up and materials, etc. can be just as good for your body as for your soul…We can use all of the help we can get. Please call us and let us know you are coming.
Last but not least, congratulations to Craig and Lisa Cooper as their daughter, Talya, sister to Riva and Sam, becomes a Bat Mitzvah this Shabbat. All of us at the OHT community look forward to welcoming the Cooper’s family and their guests and sharing this important moment in their life.
And if you haven’t been following my updates on our renovations, don’t miss out this Shabbat! Come, celebrate and share in the joy of taking baby steps, making our home more comfortable and inviting for our members and new friends who will join us in the future.
Shabbat Shalom,
Meirav
